Help Needed
For Leduc and District Food Bank Fall Food Round-Up

As you may know each year, on the first Monday of October, the city of Leduc takes part in the Fall Food Round-Up to help replenish the shelves of the Leduc and District Food Bank.  This is an important event as many of our fellow citizens are in need of adequate nutritional supply for their families.  It is also important to restock the shelves before the need increases during the winter months.

This year it is our desire to see neighbours working together to help our greater community.  We are looking for a good number of volunteers in each neighbourhood that will help us by either distributing collection bags the week of September 23-30, or by collecting food donations on the night of Monday, October 3, 2016.  Of course you are more than welcome to help with both.

This will not only benefit the Food Bank and the numerous families that require the help of the Food Bank each month, but it will also allow us as neighbours to get to know each other and to serve together for the good of our community.  It is a great opportunity to serve with family and friends.

If you are interested in being involved, please go to to register your contact information and neighbourhood.  We need to have this information ASAP to ensure we have adequate help.  Your information will only be used to communicate with you concerning the Fall Food Round Up plan for your neighbourhood.

This is a great opportunity for our community to become more “neighbourly” while meeting the tangible need of so many.  We really need your help to make this a huge success.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
